On foot
The pedestrian spine runs Aleksandrovska and Bogoridi from the station to the Sea Garden, and the Garden runs the length of the bay. Most of the restaurants, cafés and museums on this site sit inside that rectangle.
- Station to Bogoridi
- 5 minutes
- Centre to the Sea Garden
- 10 minutes
- End to end of the Sea Garden
- 25–30 minutesestimate
Buses and trolleybuses
Burgasbus runs the city network. Buy a single on board or use a multi-trip card, which works out cheaper per ride. Validate on boarding; a single includes a transfer window, so one ticket usually covers a trip with a change.
- Single ticket
- €0.80
Bought on board, with a transfer window.
- Multi-trip card
- Cheaper per ride
Worth it from roughly the fourth journey onwards.
Taxis
Taxis are cheap and plentiful, and the one place a visitor can get stung. Use marked cars from a rank or ordered by phone or app, read the tariff sticker on the passenger window before you get in, and refuse any fixed price.
- Across the city
- €4–8estimate
Metered, normal cross-town ride.
Up and down the coast
Intercity buses leave from the south station beside the railway station and from the north station. Nessebar, Sunny Beach, Pomorie and Sozopol all run frequently in season; in early May the timetable is thinner, so check the last departure back before you set out. In summer a passenger boat also crosses to St Anastasia Island from the port.
- Bus to Sozopol or Sunny Beach
- €3–5estimate
One way, bought at the station or on board.
Car and parking
A car is unnecessary in the city and genuinely useful for Strandzha and the inland villages. Central Burgas has paid blue and green zones with pay-by-SMS or machines; leave the car at the hotel and walk once you are in town. Motorways need a vignette, bought online before you drive.
Getting to the arena
Arena Burgas sits inside the city rather than out by a motorway, which is unusual for a contest venue and the main reason show nights should be easy on foot and by bus.
- Show-night shuttles
- Not announced
No contest-week transport plan has been published.
