A concrete pier walking you straight out over the Black Sea.
The bridge — everyone calls it the pier — leaves the Sea Garden and carries on until the city is behind you and there is nothing but water on three sides. It is the single most photographed thing in Burgas, and deservedly so.
Walk out at dusk. The lights come on along the shore, the fishing boats head back to the port, and the whole bay turns the colour of the sky.
